Some wedding days stay with you long after the last photograph has been delivered.

Mark and Rachel's celebration at Lazaat was exactly that kind of day.

Set in the East Yorkshire countryside, Lazaat provided a beautiful backdrop for their September wedding - architecture, beautiful grounds and a warm, timeless atmosphere that worked perfectly with the season. But as beautiful as the setting was, it was the people and the energy that truly made this wedding unforgettable.

There was laughter, anticipation, emotional moments and all those little in-between moments that make a wedding feel real. Mark and Rachel were completely themselves, surrounded by the people they love, and that made photographing their story such a pleasure.

For me, wedding photography is never just about documenting what happened. It is about capturing how the day felt - the nervous excitement before the ceremony, the way you look at each other when nobody else is watching, the hugs and all the tiny moments you may not even realise are happening.

And then came the party.

Because Mark and Rachel weren't just a great couple...

They were a party couple.

And that dance floor was something else.

The moment the music started, the energy went through the roof. The dance floor was packed, everyone was completely in it, and there was the kind of atmosphere you simply cannot manufacture.

Laughter, dancing, crazy moves, spontaneous moments and one very happy photographer trying to keep up with it all.

It was on a of those receptions where you look at the clock and think, surely it can't be time to go yet?

And honestly, I could have stayed all night.

This is what I love about weddings. You can plan every detail, choose every flower and create the perfect timeline, buy you cannot plan the feeling of a room when everyone you love is together celebrating you.

You simply have to be there. And I feel incredibly lucky that I got to be there with my camera.

Thank you, Mark & Rachel

Thank you for trusting me to tell the story of your wedding, for welcoming me into such a personal and important day. I genuinely wish I could press rewind and photograph the whole day again.

Some weddings are beautiful.

Some are full of atmosphere.

And some simply stay with you.

Mark & Rachel's was one I won't forget.

With love,

Natalie
